Default Which black inkpad will work with Copics??

Help!!! I know stazon is a no-no since it's also alcohol based ink. I tried Palatte Noir.... no bueno on that one either. The only ink that actually work is my Epson printer. I have a few new stampin up stamp sets that I would love to color with. So which brand/type of black inkpad do I need to get?? Thanks!!

Lots of people use Memento but I've never tried it as I already had ink in my stash that worked - Brilliance. It's a pigment ink but it's pretty fast drying. You can give it a blast with a heat gun if you want to be sure. I've done OK with Adirondack dye ink (Pitch Black) too and I love to use Adirondack Espresso when I want something a bit softer than black.

Have fun with your Copics!

Memento; I also use colors other than black. The Memento grays are great to use if you want a softer image without the harsh black lines.

Thanks for your comments! I am not a fan of the fuzzy impressions that Memento gives and now I have your list of inks to try, instead. I knew there were some other options, but I just couldn't remember what they were. Thanks for your helpful information!

To the OP, I do not get fuzzy impressions from Memento.

I get very crisp impressions from Memento.
