Does anyone have any advise for cutting chipboard? It seems to work fine with the big dies, but the sizzlets dies will not cut though. I have tried all sorts of combinations of sandwiches.
I am using a medium thickness chipboard which is the most popular thickness (I think) so I must be doing something wrong!
Any advise???

Hi - Stampin Up Big Shot Faqs say (and Sizzix says same)
You can cut thru all those materials *whatever you can cut with your (craft & rubber) scissors, you can cut with your (thicker) sizzix (original or Bigz) steel rule dies.
Sizzix.com says the dies that are thin like sizzlits are meant for one sheet of cardstock because they're thinner, the cut can't get as clean thru so many layers. There's a video at Sizzix.com - here: from sizzix.com go to videos and click on "materials." There are other videos there too.

Sizzlets are not meant to cut chipboard. They are not the same type of die as the Originals or Bigz Dies.
I feel there's a lot of information (and misinformation) to sift through on the Big Shot, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Bigz and Bigz XL dies. I spent the last few days personally testing the dies in my Big Shot AND Cuttlebug and came up with Big Shot 101 for tips and sandwiches based on my independent "research."
Wonderful information Mary...thanks for sharing, and I've bookmarked your blog for reference. My Big Shot will be delivered tomorrow! ;)

Your posts have been a big resource for me, too. Thanks. Note: I did flip a few things around (for example, I like to cut Nestabilities with the image face up). Some variations are due to slight variations in machines (as you have posted). I continue to update the tips and my "laboratory research" daily Hugs, M

I think it's great that you've expanded on the sandwich stacks! That's what I love about this site. Sharing and ideas! This community is so wonderful and I'm just glad to be apart of it!
There are pdf files and tons of information on the Big Shot, Sandwich receipes, Dies and other stuff.
The link is in my Siggy line!
Hugs and Blessings
Alicia
I can't find the link to the spreadsheet? Can you just type out a link, please? I didn't see it in the "siggy" line; which I believe you meant "signature line". I'm sorry to be so dumb on this. Thanks ahead of time. Much appreciated!.
This thread is four years old and that person hasn't posted since 2010. Maybe you can find what you want by going to the forums under general stamping and look in the big shot stickythread. Its probably a long thread but you might be aable to type sandwich recipes in the search box once you get there to find what you need.
Thank you kindly! I just realized that I never said thank you to all of you, but especially militarystampingmom!! I so appreciate you all, but your extra effort militarystampingmom is truly appreciated and so helpful! By the way, I'm a military mom too. My son is in the Army, but will be getting out in June. Take care and thank your son for me! He truly is a hero and special person.
