Default Big Shot Pro, repair or replace

It is 10 years old and has cut countless wedding invitations, etc. We have replaced the bearings, but I think it must be the roller that is worn. It will cost me over a $100 in each direction, plus repairs. It really is more cost effective to buy a new one. Accucut makes a very nice one for $595, but then you have to buy at least $50 in adapters for thin dies. I have so many dies. What kind of large format cutters do you all have? Thanks.

I’m in the process of looking for a cutter (that works & is affordable). I too have lots of dies and embossing folders. Electrical or Crank? Which holds up the best? And I really (really) want it to pass a 12 x 12 paper (for scrapbooking). I’m highly confused at this point ;)

lori, I bought the Big Shot Pro a few years ago, and they are still available. It will take up to 12" cardstock/paper,Twin0522Gemini.
As you know how well it works, how reliable it is, and I assume have all the various plates, I'd think it's worth replacing it with the same.

It's worth the investment. Last month I replaced and upgraded from a Big Kick to Big Shot Pro due to messed up rollers/bearings. I'm very happy with the BS Pro, all the plates, dies, embossing folders work fine with the larger machine, no need to re-invest in accessories.
