Default BIA vs. The Cinch

I asked Santa for the BIA, he brought me The Cinch. I have never used either machine or even seen one used. Do any of you have an opion on these two?

Thanks,
Brenda

I have the BIA but haven't really used it. From the videos I've seen, I kind of wish I had gotten the Cinch instead - it looks like it works the same as the BIA but has the nifty things to stack the pages on as you punch them and also I really like the buttons you can use to keep some of the holes for punching - can't do that with the BIA.

I have the BIA as well, but can't compare because I don't have anything to compare against! I've only used it a few times but find it easy to use when I do.

Default I have the BIA

and don't love it. I've never figured out how to make anything that is wider than 6" even though I have instructions from the company. All the video tutorials only show things as wide as the machine. I would love to do an 8 1/2 x 11 or 12 x 12 book.

Take a look at this video - I think it will help.

If I get one it will be the Cinch.

Thanks for the video, cbet .. . I have it bookmarked to view later.

THIS VIDEO is the one I saw that convinced me I would like the Cinch.

So far, I haven't done a lot of 3D projects, but once I have a good stack of ideas in my head, I'll be Cinch shopping!!

I always wonder about the little books with photos -- do you all put some clear cardstock or something over the photos to protect them, or just leave them "exposed?"

i have the cinch, and have only played a bit to make sure it survived shipping, but it seems wonderful to me. easy to use, and a great feature is the fact that you can lock out the pegs, and only punch holes where you want, or need.

and it punches round holes instead of square like the BIA, not that really means anything except for cosmetic looks LOL.......

also, they have come out with the cutest spirals for binding with it, so now you have the option of the ring type binding or the cool spirals, and they come in a few colors.

ohmycrafts.com has they i think.............

it is on my new yrs list to play with it and really make something other than a test item ;)
