Default Best place to buy chipboard for mini books?

HI,

Where is the best place to buy (online or in a store) chiboard sqares (or other shapes) for the mini books? I have some coasters, but I'd like other sizes and weights. I'm not too particular about the exact size or color, but I would like something that is a nice price.

Thanks,

Cindy

Cindy...

I buy my chipboard from Office Depot at the copy center. She usually charges me about $0.05 each but the last time I think she said there was going to be a price increase soon.. I usually buy them in 8 1/2 x 11 size.

Hope that helps.

Hobby Lobby also has this in packages of 10 (I think) for around $3.99. It's in the art department. 8-1/2 x 11

You might want to give these a shot as they are only $1 each.

I got mine from a local store XPEDX, https://www.xpedx.com . I don't think you can buy it online but it was so cheap. I haven't counted the chipboard but it was a lot and heavy. I only paid $10. I was worth it. Good luck.

Instead of chipboard, I buy matboard from my local art /framing shop. They sell the leftover pieces from cutting mats for pictures. I find it to be very inexpensive. I just buy a big piece and cut it to size myself, but they will cut it for me if I want. I like this better than traditional chipboard because it is acid free, comes in different colors, has a smooth finish and cuts well. I like the white because it takes ink/paint better than the chipboard without swelling up or altering the color.
