Question Best Hewlett Packer printer???

I'm looking for advice on the best Hewlett Packer printer out there ladies...I've got a credit with H/P, so it has to be with them. I don't print digis very often, so that isn't a consideration at this time. I would really appreciate your input.

I haven't had much luck with HP. I love my Cannon, but since you have a credit with HP, get one that loads from the back.

I usually get a photosmart from HP, and I like the idea of loading from the back or top too. C/S will go through the rollers a lot easier.

I have an HP Deskjet 3050 which only cost around $80 which loads from the back. I was able to print successfully with Papertrey Ink paper which is about the heaviest cardstock around.

I went with the best HP printer that Costco had: Officejet Pro 8500A. (I think a slightly different model is sold in the office supply and electronics stores.) First, I ruled out photo printers. Printing all your own photographs is not cost effective, and I believe I found that the ink would be more costly and the printing slower than a regular printer. I wanted all functions: fax, scanner, photocopier, and printer. What I didn't want was a printer that didn't last me for years and years. The low end models can sure do a lot, but I felt the business model would last better.

I use the printer mainly for inventory and can print on both sides of a sheet of paper. I collect a lot of clip art and occasionally print out images on transparencies (using mirror image printing) or photo paper. I've had the printer for perhaps 7 months and haven't had to deal with a jamb.
