I usually use Bashful Blue for skies. I think SU's other blues, while nice, are gloomy for a daytime sky.

However, you may want to try using a little bordering blue (it's a bit grayish) for adding depth to the bashful sky.

HTH and ...

I almost always use Bashful Blue too for my skies ... I like it the best, although Pacific Point (one of last year's in colours) is quite nice too.

It isn't SU, but www.alextamping.com has a blue stamp pad that was made just for skies & it's perfect. They're a scenic stamping company.
I'm sorry, I just went into their website and couldn't find any ink pads at all. Hmm, it was an awesome ink pad.

Alexstamping is a great company (but scenes are not my thing). I did find a link for the accessories page. Inkpads were the 2nd or 3rd item so you only have to scroll down a little bit. It looks like a great sky color!

Here's the link:

Hope it works but if not it was on the accessories page.

Thanks. I actually emailed Karen at Alextamping and she answered at midnight. I went back into their website this morning and found what I was looking for, and you were right. And it's not just for scenic stamping. You can use it for any sky. They're a really nice company.

Hi,

I had the same blue sky problem.

Years ago I bought the sky/cloud stamp from Alexstamping I didn't however buy the Sky Ink Pad; thinking I had plenty of blue ink at home. Well when I got home I discovered that most of my pretty blue ink pads made the sky look gloomy or menacing! Needless to say I had to go back to Alexstamping and get their Sky Ink Pad.

To be fair I didn’t have the SU! Bashful Blue, so if you do and it works then great!
