Exclamation atg gun or score tape?

i am making wedding invitations, and i'm not sure what adhesive to go with? i started with score tape, and it works fine. its just i used 5 rolls already. And to finish i will probably need to use 5-8 more rolls.

So i was wondering if you think i should just continue with this, or invest in an atg gun and its adhesive?

I only use Scor-Tape for 3D items or for something that needs to be super sturdy or that's made of harder-to-adhere materials.

I definitely would use an ATG instead if this is just standard cardmaking. And you won't be sorry -- very cost-effective and great adhesive, too .

tara1601....By my calculation you would be better to stay with Scor-Tape for your project. For 8 more rolls of 1/4 inch tape would be just under $50 before shipping.

ATG would run you at least that for just the gun then you need the tape for it plus shipping.

I have and use both, but tend to use the Scor-Tape most since I find it more convenient. ATG is rather large and bulky for smaller projects.

Just my opinion.

ATG all the way...I have had mine for nearly 3 years and would not part with it. I use it all the time on my cards.
blessings.

ATG. Yes, the gun is an investment but I've had mine for nearly 10 years.

An ATG is worth the cost!!! The initial investment may seem $$$ but it will pay for itself. (When I first started, I spent $70.00+ in my first 4 months) I would recommend buying the 3M ATG. I had both and gave my generic one away because I couldn't see where I was laying down the tape - I am right handed and my friend is left handed. (She loves it!)

If you still would rather use the tape not with an ATG, I like Miracle Tape from Viva Las Vegas (www.stampo.com) better than ScorTape. The Miracle Tape roll has 55 yds vs. ScorTape roll has 27 yds. The price is also better for the amount of tape on a roll. It is various widths also. You do have to use scissors but I just like this tape better. (There is a thing you can buy to attach to the roll but I still haven't figured out how to use it.)

Good luck on your project.
