Okay, I am going to do it. I want to get this product because I'm sick of getting bad batches of Mono that doesn't hold.
I have been skimming through threads here on SCS, but I am very confused. What is the best place to buy the gun and the adhesive? I'm not looking for the acid free tape because I use this with my cards only.
I bought from framingsupplies.com Fast, friendly service. I ordered the wrong size tape online and called them. Not only did they fix it, but they made a few suggestions to my order that saved me money (buying a dozen rolls gets you a discount per roll).
I can highly recommend them. I have also heard great things about cropandstick.com but I've never personally tried them.
I bought my ATG gun and 2 rolls of tape from 7Kids College Fund. There is another thread on here about tape from The Tape Depot and I ordered tape from there, it is really inexpensive and from what everyone is saying it is better than the 3M tape (still waiting for it to arrive), The Tape Depot also sells the ATG gun as well i'm not sure how they work though. You will really enjoy the ATG, it saves you alot of money in tape, there is a learnig curve to it but once you get it figured out you will really have fun with it.
I suspect that if you did a survey of which company ATG owners on this board had used, over 50% would say http://www.framingsupplies.com/. You probably should plan on a dozen rolls of tape, as shipping is too expensive to bother with multiple small orders of the tape.
I got the ATG from Tape Depot and I am really happy with it. I am using it with the 1/4 inch tape and have had no problems at all. With the gun priced at $25, I think it is a great buy! I got the gun and 12 rolls of tape for $43 and there is free shipping for an order over $35!
I have the atg...but be careful if you order one now from anywhere...3m is having quality issues with the gun (and I think tape too)..it may be more than a month to get in one that works (maybe)
My card club gals just ordered 5 of the guns from the tapedepot and while they look at little different I think they will be great and less money too $25.00 plus the tape is sooo much less and free shipping over $35.00 may be worth a look
I bought mine from cropandstick and just arrived today(ordered it last Thursday) but can't for the life of me figure out how to load it. I guess I will be taking it to the "enabler" friend that made me buy it and have her show me.
