Question Anything compare to SU Ultrasmooth ?

I've read lots of threads out here talking about paper. What I want to know is if there is a brand that compares to SU's white and vanilla in both weight and smoothness?

Sometimes I just need that ultrasmooth surface to get a good SOLID image stamp to stamp....well, "solidly".

I have some Papertrey white and vintage cream; and it's lovely, but too heavy for layers for my taste. I LOVE having it for bases; wish they made a lighter weight as well.

I'm just running out of my SU white and vanilla and considering placing an order but like most the shipping and tax are killing me!! I also need envelopes. I can find other places online with good prices for envelopes but then I don't know about the paper. Wish I could order everything I need in ONE place....and with reasonable ( or free! ) shipping!!!

I know GinaK offers a layering weight, and she has free shipping for an order over $50, but is her paper as smooth?

I'm not familiar with an ultra smooth, but use SU Whisper White all the time and it works great for me, even with solid stamps. Love it in fact. I usually order directly with my demo who combines orders to save us all some shipping. Tax, unfortunately, is unavoidable.

Gina K's white layering weight cardstock is the smoothest I've ever come across. I absolutely love it! Keeps your eyes and ears open; Gina occasionally has specials where you only have to order $35 to get free shipping.

Another fan of Gina K's cardstock... hands down it is much better than SU.

Thumbs up

I use Neenah Classis Crest Cover in Avalanche White, 80 lb. I get a package of 250 sheets at my local paper supply store.
I use it for Copics and Prismacolor Premier Colored pencils with Gamsol.
They do have other colors if you want a cream or vanilla shade.

I too use Neenah Classic cover in Avalanche White and classic natural white (matches SU VV). These match SU paper perfectly. Another option is Beckett Expression super smooth 80lb cover in Iceberg. This matches SU WW. I have used all of these papers, and can not tell the difference between them and SU. I think these are great alternatives and much cheaper if you can find them at paper supplier rather than paying for delivery.

Heavenly White is the smoothest paper I've ever seen. It comes in several different weights AND in 12 x 12 too. You can see it here: http://www.papertemptress.com/results.php?category=19
I would say it's smoother than SU Vanilla.

I just got some gina K layering weight white card stock a couple of weeks ago for the the first time. It reminded me a lot of SU's whisper white.
