Default anyone seen this yet??

I was at Archievers today and saw this new thing... metal stamping on chipboard similar to leather stamping. They lightly misted the chipboard with water, pounded the metal stamps on the chipboard to make impressions and then used chalk inks, distressed inks, shimmer paint etc to color the chipboard and modge podge (sp?) to seal. The pieces looked like leather and was REALLY cool... I couldn't afford this yet and wanted to investigate it but don't remember who made this new thing... anyone know what I am talking about????
thanks

I was able to find a bit out - the package was called Chip Art and I believe it was by Melody Ross - I found a workshop ad at Archievers for April. I looked up Melody Ross and found she is an artist but not sure if it is the same as her site is under construction.

It's by the same Melody Ross who years ago founded Chatterbox, Inc. Now she has some other businesses and designed the new ChipArt line with GCD. All the products are on HSN now. You can see samples on the GCD website.

That looks interesting...I guess it's just like the leatherworking things we used to use as kids in scouts...same idea...never would have thought to use it for chipboard though! Hmmm...wonder if those leatherworking tools my mom has somewhere would work the same way??

(Ok, and I'm a little slow this morning - still on my first cup of coffee - and just realized mickeysue already mentioned that the finished product looked like leather - sigh!)

As a leathercrafter, I can't imagine any fun at all "stamping" chipboard to look like the leather...Why not use the real thing....I mean, there is wood to use for cards,,,,leather would work too.
don't think this is something i will fall into...but I can see where some might be intrigued by it.
