Default Adhesive for Vellum???

Advice needed: what kind of adhesive do you all recommend when using vellum? Everything I've tried, you can see through the paper, and I don't want to attach the vellum with eyelets or the deco-fasteners.

Thanks!

Wal-Mart has Vellum tape (adhesive) that works great. It can be found either in the craft area or the office supply area. It is a bit tricky to use, but once you get the hang of it, you should be pleased with the results.

I use the vellum tape too. I find it is nearly invisible if I apply it to the surface, then put the vellum on, rather than applying to the vellum first.

A little dab of crystal effects works great in the corners.

Default vellum adhere

You can also spruce it up by adding buttons, eyelets, brads, nail heads jewels etc I have actually used Ayleens glue when I made my vellum lamp shade covers and you can not see it at all,
If you would like to take a peak at them fo to the gallery under anything but a card and I listed it under home decor

I find that I can still see the vellum tape through the vellum! I'll have to try what one of you suggested by putting in on the surface instead of the vellum!

I just purchased a Xyron and have been running my vellumthrough there...it works great...no sign of adhesive!

Default vellum

I have tried all of the ones mentioned, but could still see the vellum tape through it.

I tried using my xyron on it, and walla, it works great! I have not found anything that works better.

Give it a try.

I found using my ATG 'tape' doesn't show through the vellum. I used it on my daughter's wedding invites!

Default Vellum glue dots

There is a product from GlueDots that is a transparent adhesive made especially for vellum. You do adhere it to the vellum first and then to whatever you want to attach it to. It works very well and you can't see the adhesive through the vellum. I'm not sure where in the US you can buy it but they do have a website. It's great!

I have never found anything that doesn't leave some form of noticability - I just cover the vellum up with something on top like a crystal, or embellishment. I made these vellum trees yesterday and covered it with stamping:

Default The Answer for Vellum...

drum roll please....

I used glue dots - seriously, glue dots. Placed them carefully so that they were under the lettering I had printed out on the piece and it barely, barely shows. I was awed and amazed. Worked for me. and my class... wahoo!!!
