Adhesive?
I usually use double sided scotch perm. tape for my cards but have noticed some don't stick together well. I like glue dots but they get expensive when making a lot or using lots of layers. What type of adhesive do you use and how well does it work on different papers?
It's so funny, I have all these expensive craft supplies and I use double sided tape from the dollar store! It works so great though, way better than the Snail, Dotto, Xyron, etc... that I have tried in the past. Nothing comes apart with this stuff and you can't beat the price!!
I use the ATG gun and LOVE it. I use to use tombow mono but stuff would not stick at all. I sold it all and use my ATG and love it. I do also use Tombow multi (the liquid one) sometimes and that stuff works wonderfully as well.
I also used double-sided tape and it stuck really well, but I discovered the ATG and, in the long run, it will be cheaper than the double-sided tape, so I switched. ATG has a great hold!

I use Pritt double sided adhesive, (in the USA its called Duck brand) and I also use Zip Dry glue, that stuff really holds once its dried and you can move your layers around before it dries. Never did like mono, it doesn't hold good enough.

I totally second the ATG Gun it seems big but not heavy at all or odd to use. The price for adhesive rocks. I have the 714 uses only the 1/4 inch the 700 will use all sizes but you need an adapter fo 1/4". HTH!
I actually bought the SCOTCH PAPER GLUE. I really LOVE it!! It does not warp the paper or anything and it sticks!!! I bought at Walmart as I was completely out of my tape runner and that was all they had instock. I will be using this from now on. No more Mono for me that does not stick very well.
It has a fine tip applicator on one end and a broad one on the other.
Uhu glue stick for me! Love it. I also have the mono runner and assorted other adhesives, but right now I am hooked on Uhu! (Doesn't hurt that I found it for $.34 a tube recently!)
Most SCS get the tape and gun from framingsupplies.com
I have one and love it and nothing is going to fall off. In fact once it is down it is down!!!!!!!!!!!! The price for the gun may sound expensive at first but the first time you use it for a big swap it totally pays for itself.
Most of the time I use the double sided tape from the Dollar store as well. It is a hit / miss, so when I find it, I stock up. It also comes in different widths. It is super sticky as well so you will need to clean off your scissors (Goo Gone!)
I am scoping our dollar store too now. We have a dollar tree is that where you found your tape?
I have found it at a variety of different Dollar Stores - no particular chain. I had actually taken a class at a LSS a few years back and the Teacher turned us onto the $$ store stuff. I have even found stuff once that said "Archival". Since I usually use it for cards, I don't worry too much about it being acid free/archival, etc.
It can usually be found in with the Electrical Tape stuff. It isn't as convenient as a tape runner or ATG but I sure do love the price.

Thanks a bunch for all the info. I will be looking into a atg maybe DH will get it for me for mother's day?!?
I am going to stalk dollar store tomorrow.
I use double stick tape mostly, but used a glue stick on my Christmas cards because I was making so many of them and knew I would go through a lot of tape.
