Default Adhering acetate to card

I'm making a card that has red cardstock for the base (believe it or not, it's a Christmas card!), and a circle of acetate (I use overhead transparencies) stamped with white snowflakes on the front. I'm stumped as to how to adhere the circle to the card. I don't want to use ribbon. I'm sure double sided tape would show through. Has anyone used vellum tape to attach acetate????

When I stamp with white ink on acetate, I usually use tiny glue dots to adhere the acetate. I place them under the stamped image and it usually hides the glue dots pretty well. You can see an example of this here in my gallery.
