6 x 6 embossing folders in green Cuttlebug?

Several of the new S.U. embossing folders are 6 x 6. I must have the birch tree folder from the holiday mini. I measured my CB platform and it is just shy of 6 inches. Can anyone with experience tell me if I can get the 6 x 6 folder through my bug? I refuse to buy a Big Shot.

Someone in another thread suggested cutting a piece of cardboard 6 inches wide to see if it will fit. I have also read that some CB owners have trimmed 6 inch embossing folders just enough to fit.

Yes, the 6x6 SU embossing folders do work in the green Cuttlebug. I just got the Fluttering embossing folder from the annual catalog and it works great. Now I must have the Brick Wall and the Birch Tree folders!

I don't have any SU ones, but have some other brands and they fit. The WRMK just barely make it, a couple others (came from UK magazines) are just under and not a problem.
