Bonnie,
I had the same problem. I had them in various expandable folders too. But I then saw at Walmart the storage drawers that I had all my 8 1/2 X 11 paper in but in the 12 x 12 size! I was so excited. I think that they were only 9.00 each. I bought 2 but I have to go back and get another.

I like the Cropper Hopper vertical 12x12 paper holders with the dividers and pockets you can use in them. You can pick them up at AC Moore or Michaels with a coupon!

I picked up 12x12 paper holders at the "Dollar Tree" Stores. They worked great for my paper to store vertical. They were in the scrapbooking section. They hold about 30-40 sheets of paper. Great for special projects too. I will try to upload a pic of one later.

I just picked up a wire tower from Hobby Lobby - it was $50 before a 40% off coupon, and so far I love it! I put it together last night - super-easy. It holds tons of paper and comes with a dust cover (like I'll ever leave my stuff sitting long enough for that to be useful... maybe on vacation!).

That's the one I was looking at also. Right now I have all mine on my table in the 8 1/2 x 11 and 12x12 holders from either SU or Office Depot. Works fine for now. I need something for my pattern paper though. I never use it because I can't really see it all, and I have TONS of it.

I just got the Vertical Paper Holder and Dividers from SU, and I really like it. It sure beats the messy stack that I had, and the dividers keep things neat and organized.

I actually bought the 12x12 Scrapbooking Iris Cart from JoAnn's that was 40.00 but you can use a coupon AND it has 6 12 x 12 plastic containers with opening lids. The cart also has wheels on it if you have space for something like that.

I threw the "cart" away as I put the "trays" on my shelves in the closet. They are clear and work perfect for me as I can see what is inside and since it has a lid, it does not get dusty.

Since I bought them, you can now buy just the 12x12 containers at Michaels fro 7.99 a piece but obviously you could use a coupon

I actually have a picture of this as I sent it to someone else before but I am not sure how to attach a picture...I will work on that.

I saw at Target they had a file drawer box in the scrapbooking section. You have to put it together, I think it's made of that mfd board stuff. They had other desk things to going along with it. They didn't have one put together, so I don't know how sturdy the file drawer siding in and out would be.... paper gets to be pretty heavy.

I have the cardboard put together file box that I got online at Joanns. In fact I have two of them. The folders are really nice, the box has a lid and it's easy to carry, move around.

I hope I am not thread-jacking but since the title is 12 x 12 paper storage...Can anyone please tell me where I can find the cropper hopper storage cube that can hold the 12 x 12 file folders online? I love the one Nichole uses in her craft room. I have googled and yahoo-ed with no luck. TIA!

Default 12x12 paper

If you have the room, I made my own from the metal storage cubes you can find at target. They are usually 14.99 for a set, and go on sale all the time.
I use cable ties to secure the slats together, then at every square I secure a shelf. I think there are 23 slats in each box so you can have at least 12 shelves for paper. I made 2 so I have one for my card stock and one for pattern paper, and can label the front of each shelf. If you would like a picture, send me your email address and I can send you one.
It works great for me. I let my friends have access to this stash, and my special paper that I need to save, I put in an old 12x12 album in page protectors so I can flip through and see what I have and need.
