I hope it's okay that I am posting this. I posted some tote bags in the gallery that I made using the template from the March issue of Paper Crafts. A couple of people were looking for the template. Here it is.
** PLEASE NOTE - TO OPEN THE PDF FILE, YOU NEED TO RIGHT CLICK ON THE LINK AND CLICK 'SAVE TARGET AS'. SAVE IT TO YOUR COMPUTER AND THEN OPEN IT. CLICKING ON THE LINK WILL NOT WORK. **

Does somebody have a picture of how the sides are suppose to look? They are suppose to overlap right? Does somebody do something special for the sides? Do you use E6000 adhesive?
I have the same question as above - I am totally clueless here! The template opened and I have the front/back cut out but there are no sides. I'm new at these and have no idea how to fill in the sides...? thank you!
Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm. I always have to make things harder than they are!
ScrappingALL - Score all of the lines on the template. Then you only have to make 4 cuts, the small 1.5" lines going into the center, stop at the first score. So there are no pieces actually cut off of the paper. Everything folds up into itself. Hope that didn't make it more confusing :-)
do you have a picture of the side of the card tote my sides kinds meet in the middle thus a seam down the middle , is that right?

Love the tote bags- can't wait to attempt a few. They will make perfect gifts for the upcoming holidays!
I am not very crafty at all- when I am looking at the template do I cut on the solid black lines? Not sure how to fold it all together but I will give it a try.
Thanks for posting the templates!
Heidi
OK- I absolutely love these little bags!!!! Way to cute. My question is what size paper did you use? I used an 8.5 X 11 and I feel that my bag is much smaller than your pic. Should I be cutting around the black lines and removing the edges of the paper? I am very new to this whole craft idea and I love it but am struggling! Any help will be appreciated!
Heidi
I didn't post this....I am looking for the template and I don't know how to find it. People keep posting totes they make but they don't post the template! I'm sorry. Hope you find it. Have a good day.

Judy, go to the first original post on page one and the template is there. I made some long before I found this site....larger for BC Awareness items - so quick and easy to make. Mine is found here but is made on my puter, not stamping.....working up to that LOL
I was looking for a bag to make for BC awareness. (my mom was successfully treated last year) I saw a die cut purse on SU website, but found out it was discontinued. :( back to the drawing board. I want to make 15 to 20 for my friends and include pink M&Ms and a note to get a monthly exam or mammogram. With 2 small children, I didn't want to spend a lot of time cutting. I saw this one, and it looks perfect. I'll CASE it, and CASE the poem on Trulyblessed's website. That is more info than you wanted, I know.
But I'm so excited to get started.
Thanks to all.

Hi,
Would you please send me the template for the totes you made? Thanks! Judy
Judy: were you looking for the original tote template or my BC Awareness bags (since you quoted my post, I'm confused). As CraftyMom said, the first post contains the original template. As for my BC bags, I haven't made them yet. When they are done (or at least one), I'll try to figure out how to post ... if that is what you want.
My plan (so far) using SU "Hope Is..." Set:
pink paper with the "Believe" versamarked/stamped on the sides (I was going to versamark the ribbon all over the pink paper, but I think the stamp is too big)
the accent color to be white with the ribbon from SU "hope is" on it (maybe the "hope is believing in a brighter tomorrow" on the other side)
I originally thought ribbon for the handle, but may do paper instead for cost and ease of attaching to the bag. I got some heart-shaped brads for attaching the handle
I don't know if that is what you wanted, but there it is! Sometimes it helps me to get everything straight in my mind, if I write it out.
