It's a transparency sheet - like what you use for an overhead projector.
SU! sells them in the catalog, but you can get a huge box of them at your local office supply store for next to nothing.

They are used for shaker cards, ornaments, card overlays, and more.

HTH,
Valerie

Yes, Window sheets are like a clear transparency that you would use with an overhead projector.

SU sells them on p. 216 of the current Idea Book & Catalog

They are used in shaker cards I know, and I've seen some other techniques with them as well.

Default Window Sheets and Stamping?

I've found that Staz On ink works the best when stamping on window sheets. I've heard many use Sharpies to color on them as well.

Default Window Sheets

Window sheets do work great for shaker cards, magic cards and ornaments amongst other things. I just did a stamp camp and we used the toucan from Toucan Of Love and made a magic card for Valentines Day using the window sheets. I used the black stazon and then colored them with the fabrico markers and it worked great. (you can use the sharpies too) I used the window sheets to make close to 50 clear glass ornaments at Christmas time and again used the stazon on the window sheets and colored them with fabrico markers. Both the magic cards and ornaments were a BIG hit with stamp camps and my sons class! Have used window sheets for shakers too and that works well. I think Stampin UP sells 3 sheets for $2.95 or $3.95 and my Mom and I just split a box of 100 from Office Max for $9.95. Hope this helps.

SU's window sheets are a little flimsier than real transparencies. If you want to dry emboss on them, you'll have better luck with SU's but that can be done on either.
