Question Where to buy fragrance oils for bath salts?

For those of you who make your own bath salts, where do you buy your fragrance oils? Someone did recommend a good company but it is based in Canada so shipping is a little high to me since I am in the US.

Thanks!
Jill

p.s. sorry if this is not the right place to post this.

For small batches of salts you can buy oils at Michael's, HL & JoAnns. Get them in the section for making beauty supplies. They are not going to be the most high quality but I have gotten some lovely results using them.

My second favorite place to buy essential oils is the health food store. They are very pure and must be used sparingly.

If you want to be hard core and really getting into making beauty products you can make your own essential oils. This is a time consuming process and takes a lot of patience. It's also can be very Seasonal. I have a friend who teases me that she cans and I make oil during the Summer months.

If you have a perfumery near you they will sell you blends too.

I really don't mail order since I like to smell the oils when buying. I am finicky that way.

HTH!

Newbie chiming in here...

I've done lots of candle and home fragrance crafting. One of my favorite resources is a website called Natures Garden. I can't post a URL until I've posted three times, but you can easily find them by Googling.

They have tons of yummy, strong fragrances, and you can buy as little as an ounce, or on up to POUNDS of the stuff. They clearly tell you if a particular fragrance is not safe for body use. Prices are reasonable - and customer service is superb.

HTH

I buy all of my essential oils from TheSage.com . The company used to be named Majestic Mountain Sage. They are very reliable and orders come very quickly. They are located in Logan, Utah and can be reached at (435) 755 0836. I have been ordering from them for about 4 years and am very satisfied with quality and service.

Thank you everyone for all of your suggestions! I saved the online ones in my favorites. I found another site as well while I was searching. So, in case anyone else wanted to know too, another good site is Bramble Berry.

Not to be a party pooper but there are people like me who fragrance is deadly to so you might want to see if a person can have fragrance in or on an item. I got a package from ebay with a fragrance packet in it and I had to go to the hospital! I'm on oxygen now but I've never been able to use or be exposed to fragrance, allergy and asthma, my whole family! I'm alot of fun eh?
THanks Just a thought! Donna
