Question What's thumping?

I have read about this technique, but I don't know what it is. Somebody clue me in! Is there a way to look up things like this on this site?

Thumping is when you ink up a stamp with a lighter color and then use water based markers, like SU, by tapping them on the stamp. Then huff, (Breathe warm moist air) on the stamp and stamp it. You get some really cool looks. Use more than one color mark to add interest.
Hugs,

Yes, click to RESOURCES (top of page) and there are more instructions when you click on PROJECTS.

One of my favorites is Lovely as a Tree .............first tap it on your more mustard stamp pad (DON'T stamp yet). then you thump red, green, maybe navy or orange on the inked up stamp. Now.........HUFF on it and stamp to your page. It looks like fall trees. Make sure you thump those colors on the ground too so that it looks like fallen leaves.
In my gallery there is a yellow & orange card that I used Happy Harmony flower on. I brushed the flowers in orange & then thumped with rocket red, colored the leaves with the old olive marker, huffed & stamped to the page. Then I dotted with glue & glitter. That flower is great with LOTS of different color combonations. My friend made a pallet with the different ones. Love it!

Try it..........you'll like it.

Wink thumping

Aimee
Try looking through these threads about this same subject:
Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Here's one that lists a couple of things in it:

Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Also, you can do a search in the gallery, I think, and find samples.

Good Luck

OK, I don't think we're getting it. Yes, we all know where resources is. Now, go there...............scroll down that list.............Ok, NOW tell us where it is?

Go to Projects & do the same. I'm not finding it. Now, that said, I KNOW how to do it but for someone who doesn't, looking under resources isn't helping. It should be there but I'm not seeing it either. What are we missing?

TIA

Thanks for showing us an example - I'm definitely a "gotta see it" person. Loved the card you made!
