The "kissing" technique is when you ink up a background stamp (such as the canvas stamp) and then use a "bold or solid" stamp like a butterfly or flower and "kiss" it to the inked background stamp and then stamp it onto your paper. The result will be a flower or butterfly (or whatever image that you used) with the background stamp design in it. I hope that this helps....
Here is my submission to TLC01. It is a little different than the instructions. I used a solid rectangle background stamp. Inked it up with Color Box inks then dry stamped my holly on it. I then inked the holly stamp with other colors and stamped them on the background stamp. All this was done before I stamped it to the paper. After stamping on the paper, I embossed with Turquoise Iridescent Sparkly Embossing Powder. I did this for my Christmas card several years ago. Hope you enjoy my twist on kissing.
