Default Using cheap thin cards

I saw this on a crafting program the other day.

Take two thin blank cards the same size.
they should be folded in half as per normal.

simply fold the front, back towards the spine.
Do this with both cards.

Now turn one card so the fold is on the other side.

stick the two cards together.

You will now have a gate fold card that has extra flaps on the front.

It also means you have a thicker card.

Glad you lliked the idea.

Have just sold 60 gold wedding blanks made with this fold, the bride to be is over the moon as she has never seen this before.

Added some bargain handmade card as a topper and a bit of ribbon....

What a great tip. I have some of that "junky" card stock that I was frustrated with after I bought it. Now I can use some of it up. Thanks for sharing.

Say you have some two colour card.
white back , black Front.
fold card in half so Black is on the inside. Normal Card.
Fold the front of the card so the white front section is folded up to the centre fold.
As you look at the card now you can only see Black.

If you were scoring a 21cm by 15cm card A5.

You would score at 10.5cm and 15.75cm.
So the card would be 15cm by 10.5cm as a finished card.

You make 2 of these then with the cards black side up turn one card round 180' so now the centre folds are oppersite.

You will be glueing the two card backs together black to white.

Will post a card tonight as off to my card club today.

Debbie, THANKS!!! I was having a hard time "seeing" this without pictures, but yours helped!! Question, you do start with a 8.5 x 11 piece and cut at 4.25 x 5.50? Just want to make sure I cut it right and not mess it up!! ;)

I thought I had it in my head but what I saw wasn't what was in the pix so TFS!

Great way to get rid of all that old cheap CS that I didn't know any better than to buy when I first started.
