Default Tips for dealing with shaky hands?

Hi guys, I have very shaky hands and as you can imagine, it makes card-making somewhat difficult. I especially have problems when placing small items on cards like rhinestones, pearls and sequins. Do any of you also have this problem? If so, if anyone could provide some tips on how to deal with this, please share! Thanks for reading!

A MISTI would help with the stamping part. I use mine all the time.

Have you tried a reverse action tweezer for your small bits? You wouldn't have to be squeezing the tweezer closed while you placed.

The MISTI is a good thought. It does make things easier with stamping.

:-) I just ordered a MISTI which should help enormously with stamping. I currently use a stamp press which also really helps.

Re: placing small embellishments, I definitely have to let go of "exact" placement I sometimes use the technique of putting a small dab of matt medium down where I want the embellishment, then scooping it up with the paddle or sticky end of my QuikStick to put it down. I have also tried smearing a bit of the medium on my craft mat, picking up the sequin with my tweezers and smearing the back through the medium before placing it on the card.

I place my elbows on the edge of my craft table to steady my arms and sometimes even let the item drop into the glue rather than trying to precisely place it.

Many of my techniques involve a bit of resignation, as I prefer to have fun and not frustration in my craft room! After struggling with tiny eyelets, I've decided to use bigger ones and be done with it. Same goes for teeny tiny sequins and other bling – there are plenty of options that come already glued to a strip, or larger enamel dots, or my new current favorite, just squeezing a dot of Liquid Pearls where I want shine, gloss or dimension.

SCS member Sandy Parker also has a great new YouTube channel called "Crafting for Almost Everyone" where she covers some of these challenges, along with tools to help:

Could you make/purchase a version of a bean bag that is loose enough to surround your hand (thus supporting your hand)? The only problem with using anything would be its raising your hand further off the table and possibly throwing off your accuracy in stamping/placing/gluing/etc.
