Default Stamping on Paver Brick

My MIL got a really neat gift for Christmas from a friend of hers, who told her that her mother had made it. It was a paver brick stamped and colored in. You could use it as a door stop, paperweight or put it in a garden. Has anyone ever tried this? I wonder what materials to use. I am thinking stazon would work for stamping, but I'm not sure what it would be colored with (it looked like some kind of paint). I don't know her friend, so I thought I'd try here first before I found out how to get in touch with the mother.

Also, this is not the make your own brick kits that has stamps you put into the wet concrete. It was actually stamped on the brick itself.

Thanks,

Kathy

Default

I HAVE MADE LADY BUG DOOR STOPS LIKE THIS. HOWEVER, I PAINTED MINE WITH ACRYLIC PAINT AND THEN JUST STAMPED THE SPOTS WITH A CIRCLE STAMP, USING PAINT. I THEN SPRAYED THE BRICK WITH CLEAR ACRYLIC SPRAY TO SEAL IT.

IF YOU PAINT THE BRICK WHITE, YOU COULD USE STAZ-ON AND "COLOR" IN WITH SHARPIES. OR USE PAINT, LIKE I DID.

THE BRICK IS SIMILAR TO MAKING TILES.

PERHAPS POSTING A PICTURE WOULD HELP US GET MORE OF AN IDEA OF HOW THE ARTIST DID IT.

Default STAZON ON PAVER

I used StazOn on tiles placed in my landscape and the sun faded them all almost completely. I even sealed it with clear spray paint....
For indoors or shady areas, cute idea though!!
Good Luck!!
