Default Stamping on Glass Canisters

I have read that you can etch on glass vases, but I would like to stamp on glass instead. I have round clear glass canisters & I want to stamp on them. What is the best way to stamp an image and/or letters on them? I didn't know how exactly you could stamp on something that wasn't flat. Could you stamp with regular classic ink pads, should you use stazon or emboss on them?

I love stamping on glass! I recently made a bunch of microscope slide pins, and Staz-on worked fantastically. The best part - if I wanted to remove the image because of a smear or something, I could just simply wipe it off with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol.

I prefer etching, as it is the most permanent. Staz-on and embossing will scratch off over time and usage (and certainly won't work in the dishwasher). Regular Classic Ink Pads definitely won't work at all, but I have only used stipped on white craft ink refill to my pins and that seemed to stay on fine..... unsure of how stamping onto the glass using Craft ink would be.

Let me know how things turn out. I am so very interested -- and would love to see pictures!!!

HTH!

Guess I'll have to add some staz-on to my wish list, too! what a long list it's getting to be.

The more I thought about it today, I can etch them and dress them up and give away to new friends and also at swap meets it would be great for examples.
