I Know this is going to sould silly but how do folks use the square step punch to create a lace border? I see it done but I can't figure out how to do it
Ok, I have done this once, so hope I remember correctly. Take the corner "guard" off, then turn punch over and punch along the edge of cardstock, lining up the next with the previous. HTH and works! Linda
First thing is to removed the guard for using it on corners. Do this carefully, as they will break. Once it is removed, just position it along the bottom of your cardstock and move along accordingly until you have the desired look. Does that make sense?
Wow! I never noticed the guard before! I have been trying to figure out a lacy looking border on a wedding cake card and have been totally frustrated with it. You've saved my sanity with this one! Thanks!

I have some of newer EK Success Punches and the guard can actually stay on while you punch. Just a hint if you do take off the guard, be careful not to snap it in half otherwise you will not be able to use the corner guard for future purposes.
BE CAREFUL taking the guards off. They can break. That's probably why SU doesn't tell us they're removable. One good thing is that the guards are interchangable on the same size punches. I use the guard from my ticket corner on my horizontal slot and the 1/2" circle punch.
And did you know (I read this is the product guide) that the flowers on the Spring Flower punch are spaced so that you can use them with the circle and square punch. It gives you a reverse image medallion like the snowflake.

I didn't know that about the Spring Flower Punch...I was getting tired of that punch...I think I'll try reverse image medallions for a fresh take...thanks for sharing!

Anyone have a picture of this? I'm trying to visualize this and it's NOT working! LOL
