Smile Something new

I have been learning techniques here and there, but I was hoping that I could get lots of help and new ideas in one place. So if you have a technique you wouldn't mind sharing with me and anyone else on this thread then please respond with the directions, and if it's not to much, a picture. I'm kinda visual. I'm ready to learn!

There are so many fun techniques - one of my favorites is called "pencil over" and I learned about here through the technique lover's challenge thread (you should check there if you love techniques - lots of ideas and pictures - I don't really have the stuff I need to post pictures). Pencil over is done by stamping a line image on dark cardstock with white pigment ink, then coloring over the lines with watercolor pencils - it looks kind of blurry and impressionistic, I think. Anyway, check out the technique lover's challenges - I think you would like them.

Thanks, I will head over there and check it out. Your technique sounds neat, I will have to give it a try.

If you really want to get into techniques, subscribe to the Technique Junkie Newsletter. It is only $18 a year for 6 issues and each issue has 10 - 13 techniques. You can also purchased CD's with the previous year's techniques on them for a low price. Visit this website for more info. www.patstamps.com. There is a sample tutorial on there that is free. Tell them Ann Clack sent you if you sign up. I signed up two years ago and have never regretted it. Cancelled all my magazine subscriptions because it was so good.

Also, check out the resources section of this site. All of the technique and project tutorials SCS has published are listed there - with pictures and a link to the galleries set up to showcase the idea (if applicable). It's a great place to start learning new stuff!
