I'm new to splitcoaststampers (awesome by the way) and I'm wondering the best way to find my way around the site. I want to search different techniques I hear about. What's the best way to do this?...a smalltowngirl in southern Illinois.
First let me say welcome to Splitcoast Stampers. You'll enjoy it here, I do.
There's a thread that gives a List of Stamping Techniques down the page that would be a great place to start. Hope this helps (HTH)
Didi

At the top of the page select Resources. There are wonderful instructions and galleries of sample cards using a wide variety of techniques. If there is a technique you are interested in that isn't listed there, do a search in the Stampin' 101 forum. Or just post a thread about the technique and someone will jump in and give you help.
Welcome to SCS. I think you will find it delightful!
Hiya! This really IS a wonderful site because there are so many inspiring ideas and if you're stumped or looking for techniques, you can usually find the answers here.
As YESINDIDI said, there's a thread with the Word Document with a massive list of stamping techniques. Don't print the whole thing! It's over 100 pages long! Eep!
I'm a big fan of the "Search" function when you know what you're looking for. There are basically 2 kinds of Search functions. There's the one at the top of the page, between "New Posts" and "Quick Links". That one allows you to use keyword(s) longer than 3 letters in the whole FORUM (ditto if you're in the Gallery half of this site).
You'll also see another "Search" function below it; this will allow you to search within a Forum (or Gallery, if you're over there) or a thread (if you're already in a thread....which is where you are now!).
Hi smalltowngirl! I'm fairly new here myself. I spend so much time reading through the threads that I haven't done that many posts. But I live in central Illinois so your post caught my eye.
You'll get LOTS of great ideas here whether you just read through the forums or look through the galleries. It's ALL good! LOL
