They're made by Marvy and you can purchase them thru http://www.joann.com/. You can usually get them for 40% off -- just wait for them to post a coupon or promotional code (they do it quite often).
The largest size is the giga, which is what you are seeing in the cards in the gallery. The mega oval, without the scallop, I'm told, is the right size to fit inside the scallop, if you want to layer it. I had to wait almost six weeks to two months before Joann's had the oval giga scallop punch in stock again, but I regularly get the coupons via email, so it was more a matter of patience than anything else.
There is also a scalloped square in addition to the oval and circle. They do come in different sizes giga being the largest, mega second to largest. I love mine, worth the $, but even better with coupon! They are hard to find and sell out quickly.
I ordered mine from Marvy/Uchida last week and received them today. I was very pleased with the service and they are huge punches but very easy to use.

Frantic Stamper. She just got a huge shippment of the Circle Gigas. I love to deal with her. Fran carries everything. Her prices are cheaper than Marvy too. She is very quick to ship.

Just came across this post again... ditto to what everyone is saying... the punches are so well worth it, they are so easy to use, wait for the Joann's coupon, etc. I actually received an email from Joann's with an online coupon code today... 50% off any one-regular priced item on Dec. 2nd and Dec. 3rd... the code is DECEJ650

Joanne's doesn't have either the scalloped oval or circle. I still suggest going to Fran at www.franticstamper.com She really does seem to have the best selection of punches.

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly! I just purchased the 6 scalloped punches from her (the square, the oval and the circle in both the mega and the giga sizes) and she was amazing! As Shelley has said above, she just received a huge shipment from Marvy, she has really good prices and she shipped out my punches so quickly. I did pay full price (ie; no coupons) but I feel it was worth it (from Canada...unfortunately don't have all the cool online stores/coupons) as I have been ogling them for awhile. The ones that Fran has are also the Clever Lever ones, too (some stores carry the ones without the lever)!

Wow, Shelley, Frantic Stamper price for Mega is $18.59 then shipping for $15.01 to $30.00 is $6.25 then extra charge if ordering big punches is $3.00 .. total $24.26 No Thanky! I'll wait.. I got Michael's square scalloped Mega for much less. Their reg. price is little over 16.00 then w/ 40% coupon.. cost was approx $10.00!!! I could get 2 Megas at M's for less than 1 at Frantic Stamper. Now to wait til M's has the Mega circle & oval in stock???? I frankly don't see it happenin'..

I am like you I searched and searched for the scallop punch. I finally found one on ebay for $10.00. Everytime I would go into Michael's or JoAnn's I could never find them. It seriously took me several months to find it. So my suggestion is to keep your eye out at the store and also search ebay.
Got my mega & giga scalloped punch from Marco's Paper . The gigi was on back order it just arrived yesterday. The price with shipping was $25.00. www.marcopaper.com phone # (88 4335239 toll free

Are they really easy to use? I had bought sometime similar before and I had to practically stand on it in order to get it to punch.
Quick question, so if I wanted to layer, would I use a mega unscalloped oval inside a Giga scalloped oval??? Or does the mega unscallopped fit inside the mega scallop.

Does this make sense???
You'd want the mega oval to go inside the Giga scalloped oval. The unscalloped and scalloped are about the same size, so it cuts off the scallops if you use the same size.

Southern Storm.....The problem is, that Michaels and Joanne's don't have the circle punch, or the oval punch. So you can't use the 40% off coupon. Fran's prices are cheaper than ordering it from Uchida/Marvy. Plus her selection of everything is so great, that you don't have to shop all over.

Joanne;
Some stores still carry the old style "button" punch...I think your shoulder knows what I am talking about ;). The ones I had mentioned in my post above are the "Clever Lever" ones...the ones with a handle so you can flip them over and see what you are punching out. Soooooo easy to use. They are more $$ but so worth it. Here is a link to see the Clever Lever style punch; http://www.crafterstoybox.com/store/page493.html
I got both of mine from Crafter's Toybox as well. However...I ended up with 2 scallop oval punches. So...if anyone is interested...let me know and I'll give you a decent price. Just pm me with any questions. Otherwise, I'll be selling it in a stamp sale next May or on ebay.

I plan on ordering the giga circle and oval punches from from FranticStamper.
Trying to save myself a few $$.
Anyone here know if any of the Creative Memories cutting system...cirlcle/oval...will be the equivalent to the mega cirlcle/oval punches?
Thanks!
I have the Marvy scalloped punch and I also have 7 different sized oval scallop punches from a company called Family Treasures. I love doing layering with them and I also do spirelli with them..McGill punches make smooth ovals that you can use inside of the large scalloped Marvy. I think they come in 4 sizes.

Just an FYI.....
although I am currently out of stock, I am expecting another BIG BIG shipment (with over 500 punches) around Feb 7th.
I've read on this board that I charge $6.25 + $3 per punch... well that's what it says on my shipping chart, but that's really there to cover myself if someone were to order say 1 sheet of 12x12 paper and a huge punch. Please ask me about shipping for up to 7 of the Marvy Megas and Gigas.
