Default Ribbon gathering

What is the easiest way to gather ribbon? Like this: Sweet Summer Class by upsey daisy - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I have read somewhere about sewing along the ribbon, but is there a way to do it without a sewing maching? Thanks!

Here is a tutorial for pleating/gathering ribbon across a card by using sticky tape. I tried it using my ATG gun tape, and it worked well:

I adhere my ribbon to a piece of paper the same size/width and run it through the crimper HTH,

I use the same technique as the ATG tutorial posted above, but I just put down a strip of scor-tape instead.

You can also just do a very loose running stitch by hand down the center of the ribbon and then pull the thread...just like gathering a sleeve or a waistband (if you sew).

Both of your cards are great - I especially love the Bunny!

I use Beacons 3 in 1 glue (or Fabrictac) and just put a small dot down to hold each fold. The glue dries clear and don't have to waste time pulling out the sewing machine.
