It looks like the heart shape in the center was heat embossed and while still hot a stamp was pressed into it. I've done that, it is such a cool effect.
The impression was made with a background stamp, then cut out. If I understand correctly what she has written. Cool card. Please tell us how yours turns out.

You usually have to use several layers of EP. Apply Versamark to the area you'll be stamping in. Apply EP and heat. Repeat (3 - 5 times I've found). While your last layer is still warm, ink your stamp with versamark and press into the EP. It may want to slide a little, so be careful. I don't know if it's required to ink the stamp - it's just the way I was shown. I assume so that the stamp can slide smoothly through the EP w/o any getting stuck to it.

There are approaches to protecting your stamp prior to stamping in hot embossing powder. Stamping first in a Versamark or a creamy or metallic ink will add a thin barrier that is slippery for easy, fast removal. Added bonus of embedding a color.

I have been known to give my stamps a little squirt of PAM (it cuts that calories in stamping!) on my stamp to make sure that sculpy, clay, modeling material and hot embossing powder don't stick. It really works!

Have also heard, but not tried - dipping your stamp in a very very shallow dish of ice water to make the rubber (but not the mounting backing) as cool as possible prior to squishing in the hot embossing powder.
