I need to reposition some rubber on my wood blocks to make it easier to align some stamping and was wondering if there was a trick to doing this. I had read about putting the stamp in the microwave to soften the glue? Does this work and how long in the microwave? Any other suggestions? Thank you!
Once you have repositioned them, if they still don't quite stick (which they should, but you never know) then use crystal effects to glue them down, works a treat!
I had a friend who was quite abusive with her stamps. She would put them under running water and scrub them with an old toothbrush to get them clean. Her stamps quite often came off the block, and she alway had some rubber cement in her craft box to reposition them. It worked for her, although I can say I never let her clean my stamps.
Yup I have put mine in the microwave for 10 seconds, and it comes off a treat and is nice and gluey so I just repositioned it where I needed it and its fab

Hmmmm, I guess I'm "abusive" to my stamps.... I cant get them CLEAN anyother way...the cleaners and SU! Scrub pads are HORRIBLE to use...they splatter all over everything and just leave a puddle of ink on the stamps so I go and "ABUSE" them with Simple Green running water and a toothbrush....Still have stamps and I've been stamping since 1992!
I agree with you. I've never liked the stampin up cleaning pad (or any other pad for that matter) I don't think they get the stamps clean. I just use a wet rag and It works just fine. Sometimes I have to take my finger nail (pressed into the rag) to get ink out of the crevices. I only use a stamp cleaner if I use Stazon.
