Smile Recycle Something

I recycled the inside of a floppy disc for THIS CARD. Go Green when making your cards too. I'd love to see what great things you can come up with!

Default RE: Floppy Disk

How cool! It would also make a great scrapbook embellishment for a 50's party page.

Great bit of recycling! I love to find crafty uses for junk, too. One of my favourites is metal from tomato paste tubes - I'm on a mission to get you US girls buying tomato paste in tubes rather than tossing half a can if you only need a small amount of paste! Here's a card made with a circle cut from one - more info in the description if you want it: Frugal Blessings

Both of these ideas are great. I have to try both ideas on my next hobbie day at home. I have found the tomato paste in tubes in Hyvee grocery stores in Iowa. I live in Oklahoma but in-laws live there and when they come down I always have them bring me 2-3 tubes of it. So much better than canned.

Great idea for a thread, Monica! Love your recycled floppy disc card!

I like to recycle Kleenex tissue boxes and store bought cards - also the cards etc. that my mom gets from the various charities that she donates to!!

Tri Shutter Birthday

Vintage Surprises

Birthday Scallop Circles

and Envelope Pouch Roses

Recycle something and share it with us .....

I just remembered there was a thread a few weeks back about recycling - it kind of got a bit sidelined into general recycling rather than stuff for crafty projects but there were some posts with lots of ideas of things to reuse in card-making or other craft stuff. If anyone wants to check it out for more ideas, it's here.

Glad you enjoyed the tomato paste tube! It's great for 3D projects too - I'm attaching a little candle tin I did a while back so you can see how it works for that kind of thing.

Really? At Hy Vee? Like with the regular canned tomatoes? I am definatley going to have to look. That would be so much better for recipes that only call for 1-2 Tbsp. I always put the rest of the can in the fridge and forget it is in there until it is unusable.

Love the card made with the tube!

Wow, you found an old thread here Raye Lynn! It's almost two years old!

If you're looking for recycling ideas to use in your papercrafting the recent Ways to make do instead of buy new thread has loads of great stuff (yes, including me still trying to convert you girls to tomato paste in tubes!)
