I love to recycle everything. Most items don't make the recycle bin in my house. I'd love to see if anyone has any unique craft recycle ideas. Also does anyone have any ideas for the following items?
The bottles that Starbucks Iced Coffees come in (kind looks like a Prima bottle)
Plastic Folgers Coffee cans
Thanks in advance

I'd be interested in making something with my large size Folgers plastic coffee cans. I have 14 of them stacked in the corner of my kitchen. Makes a lovely decorative statement against the wall ! LOL
I've seen many people fill the glass bottles with jelly beans, m&m's, or other candies, decorate, and give as small gifts to friends.
Not sure what you could do with coffee cans. Decorate the outside and put freshly baked cookies inside? We always painted ours, cut slits in the lid, and used them as piggy banks as kids.
I LOVE to recycle things into crafts! I just put on my blog a project that uses the plastic boxes that TAC stamp sets come in. The SU ones won't work because they have their logo on the middle of the lid now don't they? Here is a direct link to the project
But you could still cut the boxes up and use the bottom and edges to cut out clear shapes with your Big shot/cuttlebug/sizzix dies.
I friend was getting rid of some of her SU stamp boxes and I used my Crop A Dile II and punched holes in the tops of the lids works great for ribbon scraps.

I live to re-use!
1) The other day I wanted to use/make a stencil of my mega and giga punches and used the plastic fronts from the Cuttlebug A2 folder packages...seemed like too good of a chuck of plastic to just toss (and they all stacked together so well at the time LOL). The bonus? I had a clear window to place over an image for a window effect...or a mask.
2) I made 3 storage containers from some smaller sized cylinder boxes of oatmeal that I bought at a good price. After puttng the oats in my bin, they sat there asking not to be thrown out, so I dug out a wallpaper book, and they came out cute...just right for my DD new apartment bathroom to hold cottonballs, q-tips and fem.stuff.
3) I use the plastic coffee cans for garbage cans for my stamping tables.
4) I like to use the safety can openers that let the top be glued back on. Decorate with DP and ribbon and put a small gift or candy in it.
5) The rubber trimmings from cutting out your stamps make terrific pop dots. Just peel the bottom and stick it on your project, then peel the rubber layer off, and if it's not sticky hit it withthe heat tool for a few seconds and it sticks perfect again.
5) My ribbon is stored in Diaper wipe boxes, type of ribbon is marked on the box end.
6) Ribbon spools: Spoolie books...haven't done this yet but just saw it the otherday to make a scrapbook from an empty ribbon spool...don't remember where, but you could probably google for a tutorial.
I'm subbing to this thread...I'm sure there are lots of stampers with other ideas too!
I think the craziest recycle thing I tried was using Skoal stuff cans to make Christmas ornaments. If you like the smell of wintergreen, which I hate, they would have been fine.
You could probable use the coffee cans to do similar to the paint can ideas. Decorate and use to give a gift, survival kit: i have done paint cans for baby gifts, wedding emergency kit, labor emergency kits, spa type gift. You might want to air the cans out for a bit so that the kits don't smell like coffee. I recently saw something about putting newspaper inside something for a day or two absorbing odors. kim
I trimed some pretty wrapping paper and modge podged it over the Folgers decals and use the bin to hold plastic knifes, forks, spoons - and also others to use for trash bins on my stamping table.
Crystal light foil lids run through the cuttlebug make cute ornaments (will try to post a picture of the card later)
Cut scraps of colored chipboard from cereal boxes, junk mail, etc to make tags and things with Cuttlebug dies.
