Please help with my circular shaker...!

Please help! - I really need some advice on how to stop my small microbeads and/or glitter sticking to the edge of the sticky foam that I am using to go around the curved window. I don't get the same problem with straight-edged designs and wondered if anyone had suggestions as to where I may be going wrong? I am using the little 2mm squares all the way round but would be interested to see if anyone has a better method.

Thank you in advance! Should have asked this question earlier as I wanted to do some Christmas snow-globe cards...sigh...

Default Circular Shaker

I made a shaker card for graduation - it was cut out in a rectangle. I used micro-beads and graduation cap confetti in the shaker. I had problems with the confetti sticking to the edges. I haven't made another one yet but was thinking if I do I am going to rub my Stampin' Up! Embossing Buddy along the edge to keep things from sticking.

I was going to suggest the embossing buddy. You could also brush some baby powder along the sticky edges.

Smile Shaker tips

Thanks to all who have replied - great idea to use Baby Powder - I'll try that as I don't have an embossing buddy.

Gina K - thanks for your tutorial - fantastic idea to use coffee - I bet that smells lovely!

Anyway, off to try again...

When you make a shaker card, it is best to use a roll of foam tape, before you do so place it in a tidy tray or something that can hold a small amount of talc (powder). Before you use it, put the roll side down and rub around in the talc then turn over and do the same to the other side, This takes away the sticky edges so when you use it every thing in your shaker card wont stick to it, there is no sticky side of tape left exposed arround the edges....
