Question Pin Prick Holes As Border

Hi everyone! I am BRAND new to this site. I love it. I'm a long-time scrapbooker, who has just recently started making cards and am now totally addicated.

Need some help. I see lots of cards that have small holes around the end as in a border or for decoration. I really like the way that looks. Is there a tool that does that? I've done a couple of cards, but I've lined up the card on a ruler and used a regular push pin. There has to be an easier way!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you!!

Sally

you can get the SU! mat pack ... it has a spacer for holes and you can use it with the pin method or a paper piercer...

and welcome!!

You can also use a piece of plastic canvas as a guide for the holes. I don't have the mat pack because I bought my pieces elsewhere (although I really regret not just buying the mat pack but I'm too stubborn to rebuy what I already have!). But the plastic canvas piece can be cut to a small size or to a long piece, whatever you want, and its about 30 cents for a piece. I have a piercing tool that I use with it. Mary

I am so glad I cme across this post. I am also new to the stamping world and have been looking through some of the galleries and could not figure out how they did this technique. So thank you for helping me out with this too.

Thank you all so much. I just ordered the SU mat pack. I'm excited to try it. Thanks also for the warm welcome.

Hi Sally ...

You can also use your sewing machine ... just remove the threads first and operate either by hand or "sew" like you would fabric
