Red face Pearl Ex Help Please

Ive always wanted Pearl Ex and I just got some for my birthday and I really want to use it but realized I have no idea how to use it? Do I apply it straight to an image or will it rub off if I do that, do I put it in embossing powder? Oh I need help.

Pearl ex can be used in many ways. Sometimes the easiest is to versamark the image then to apply (with a light hand) the pearl ex with a stipple brush or any soft medium size paint brush. Let it set for a few minutes then use a soft tissue or I like to use the swiffer floor pad refills because it picks up the pearlex to clean the excess off. You can gently heat set the image or lightly spray it with hairspray to set it. Then you are ready to go. I'm guessing if you went to the techniques section here and did a search for pearl ex you'd find a lot more ideas.
Have fun with it. I love using mine. Pick an image you love and try it on a bunch of different colored CS scraps. Then save them for later use or make a bunch of cards. :-) I hope this helps a little bit.

I recently tried the Melted Pearls technique: Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

It was a really easy and low stress way to use Pearl Ex. I didn't have to worry about anything drying on me. ;) I feel challenged as well when it comes to ways to use Pearl Ex. Another favorite of mine is using floor wax: Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

Hope that helps! There are a few more tutorials on Pearl Ex in the resources section, too: Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

Happy stamping!
