I just bought the Loads of Love and it's Accessories stamp sets. I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to mound them. I haven't worked with the set, but it looks like you would need to use a mask to place the items in the truck and the people in the cab of the truck. I was thinking I would need to mount the accessories at the bottom of the block. Any suggestions?

Mounting at the bottom sounds like a good idea-I can't think of any problems, but I'd like to hear someone who did it that way KWIM? Surely someone here has tried it.
I didn't mount at the bottom, and I have to cut out every blessed thing! I can't place them in the right spot at all.
I mount practically everything at the bottom, anyway, but it's definitely easier to line things up in the truck bed if you do. I also tried to mount the truck bed stuff on the 90 degree edge of the wood block instead of the rounded edge to have a good line. I tend to mount all my stamps lined up on the bottom right corner of the wood block if you're looking at it with the rubber side up so that when I turn it over to stamp, the rubber part is on the bottom left of the block (the sticker is placed bottom left to line up with the rubber part of the stamp - make sense?). This way I can see the rubber easily since I'm right handed. Makes the truck stuff much easier! BTW, enjoy that set - I love it!! Terri
Thanks tlmc. The square off edge makes a lot of sense. I also saw a web site that sold a kit that let you re-mount rubber stamps to acrilic blocks. This might be ideal for the accessory stamps. I'm going to check it out and I'll post back with the info
I've always thought that the acrylic blocks would be awesome, and if I wasn't a demonstrator, I'd probably do it in a heart beat just for the storage issues! There was a thread on here (well, several) a long time ago that was awesome. If you search for it, I bet you can pull it up. Terri
O.K. I checked out the web site http://www.sundayint.com/index.asp?P...n=Custom&ID=11
and it looks like it might be worth a try. Make sure you scroll all the way down to the section on converting your wood mounted stamps. Do you think it will work? If anyone has tried this system please post your comments.
Thanks
Nancy
I bought a Stamp-a-ma-jig (at Michaels with 40% off cupon it was only $9.00). It allows you to put your accessories EXACTLY where you want them and much more (I especially use it for stamping greetings on straight and to stamp there where I want them). Stampin Up sells them as well. Great investment for cheap...saves loads of frustration :0)
i didnt' worry about masking; i just winged it and set the items in the "moving" stamp right on top of the trunk of the truck; just eyeballed it and put a person in the window. just mount them as you would any stamps, then play with them to get a feel for where things fit. Marie
Thanks, I found out I was worried about nothing. I mounted the accessories at the bottom and they fit in the bead of the truck without any trouble.
Thanks for all your help.
