Default My Altered Clipboard

I was trying to download this into the gallery, but I think it's acting up again. I just had to show this to someone. This clipboard will be one of many that I am making to hold order forms, and minis at workshops. That is why it is free of embellishments and fairly simple. It has to be able to take a bit of a beating, if you know what I mean.

I painted it with a pale pink acrylic paint. Then I stamped it with the DD Daisy set. The sentiment is "If it doesn't move...stamp it!" from Stella Stamper. I don't know if you can tell from the pic, but I stamped the bees in craft white. I drew their bee lines with the uniball signo pen. This worked well. The flowers and petals were stamped with the SS petal point chalks.

Oh, come on. Somebody validate me. I'm really tired and want to go to bed, but I won't until someone tells me it looks okay.

That's really cute! I haven't looked in the gallery at the rest, because it moves so slow with dial-up, but your clipboard sure is pretty!

Oh, come on! It took me a minute to fix all my typos, otherwise my first message would have shown up sooner! Heheheh! Really, it's great!

I like it!! It's great to share with your customers because it's something that everyone can say "hey, I can do that!". It will be so fun when you first pull these out and everybody oohs and aahhs over them!
Way to go, Consuelo!

WOW!!! This is really FANTASTIC!!! Thank you so much for sharing, and for the idea to use them in workshops.

Hoping you will post your other clipboards, when finished

I'm glad to see one without a lot of layers (even though I think they are gorgeous and love the look!) because I wanted to make some for the teachers and worry that they wouldn't be able to write over all of the bumps and humps caused by the embellishments!

Great job.

Ladies, I just modified it some more! I highlighted the flowers with the gel pen and it's uploaded in the gallery.

http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=158919

Playing with the white gel pen is fun.

Edited to correct link!

I actually noticed this in the gallery today. I love it! I really like having it still be functional. I think I might do something similar for my workshops. For some reason, my customers want to take my binders home. I would think if it was a clipboard, maybe they would know that I want it back.

Thanks for sharing!!

That's awesome Consuelo! Great idea to use them for workshops. Viking.com now has all three sizes of clipboards (memo, letter, legal) available for .57 each! I just ordered a few. If your order is $25 or more the shipping is free (I think there is a handling fee of $1.4.

The clipboard is just great and appears to be functional. Must make some for daughter, and grandchildren. Might even make one for me. I really like the design. Thanks for staying up to show us your clipboard.

I just found some clipboards at Sam's for what I thought was reasonable. 6 for $4.88. I can't wait to try this out all of the clipboards look so great and I really like that Consuelo made hers without tons of embellishment. Problem is, I like them with also. I might just have to make several.

I used the chalk inks, too, except for the bees because I wanted it in white.

Thanks everyone for the sweet comments.

Jami -- that does sound like a great deal on Viking. Thanks girl!

I love the simplicity and functionality of this! I found the clipboards incredibly addictive myself. I also found using a spray acrylic sealer worked a little better as far as not smudging the craft ink, but Yes, it takes forever for those inks to dry.
