Great tutorial. I will definately try this once I get some of the crayons. I wonder can you use the classic ink instead of the crayons?
Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful card ... great instructions!
Wish I had known this last year when I covered 75 votives and 15 vases using Tim Holtz' faux batik method. Yours is SOOOO much easier! Thanks!
Good job!! You're directions are really easy to follow! I wonder if this would work on my dryer sheet "mulberry" paper?!? Thanks for sharing this with us!

Ya know, you might just have something there. I say go for it and see how it turns out!

i def want to try this.. I am starting a tech club, and the first class is simple, ( just making a cs ring basically and a few mattign techniques, get to knwo each other etc,
then doing an
embossing night
water color night.... so this would be cool to add to either one of those,
i am tryign to teach my customers to step outside the box.... this is awesome, very good tutorial also
came out very pretty

What a great tutorial! Wonder if it will show up in my "Weekly Inkling" sometime? Does it work with classic ink too? I don't have WWC {I know...shame on me}.

Ya know, I don't even get the "Weekly Inkling." I probably should sign up for that. Shame on me! ;)
I'm sure it does work with classic ink....though the color might be more intense. I'll have to try it sometime.

I would imagine you could use the reinkers. I haven't tried it that way yet....will definitely have to do that this weekend. I'm thinking the colors may be more intense......but that would be a pretty cool effect.

Your cardstock ring sounds VERY interesting. Can you give me more info on exactly what this is? Thanks!

Gorgeous tutorial! I have done it before with reinkers...but I think aqua painter and stamp pad would give a softer look, more like Erika's watercolor crayons.
OMGOSH!!! I cracked up at your signature, Carolyn! At first I thought you really mispelled something and then FINALLY got the joke! Man, I'm slow on the weekend!

Erika, Your tutorial is wonderful. You make it look sooooo easy. I see all these beautiful cards and tell myself to try them, but have a hard time thinking outside that box, or trying new things. Your blog is so informative and easy to follow, I know I am going to try out something new!! Thank you so much for sharing. Barb
