Default Microscope slide ornaments

Hello! I'm wondering if any of you can offer some insight onto creative ways to attach hangers for microscope slide ornaments without using solder (I suppose I can always pick up the solder equipment that Michael's sells that caters to females, but I just don't know how quickly I would master this)? If any of you have seen how Michelle Laycock made her microscope slide shaker ornaments for the DD gallery, this is the type of look I'm going for. Or even how Starlitstudio does her microscope slide pendants. Is there a way to use/attach wire that I'm just not seeing?

TIA!

Linda

I saw on Blockhead Stamps (I think) that there are actual frames for the glass slides. I guess you stick the slides in and fold them?

For mine I used stickystrip around the edge. First I put a small piece of stickystrip along the top of the slides. Then put stickystrip starting at the top holding one end of the loop. Go around the edge of the whole ornament to the top on the other side of the loop. (make sense?) Then I dipped the edges in mircrobeads.

Paper Wishes has "webisodes" for all kinds of projects.
They just use the silver foil tape that is sticky on one side for framing the slides. Then they use E600 glue to add the "bails" for jewelry or ornaments.

Default Oops!

The first "show" I watched was for jewelry. That's where they used the glue. Now I am watching the one on Christmas ornaments. She puts a very fine wire with a loop between the layers of paper.

Golly.... who needs TV? I can watch papercrafting shows right here on my 'puter screen.
