Red face Magnet Help..please?

Good morning ya'll. I just saw on the gallery some beautiful magnets today made from Dollar Store products and SU stamps. Was wondering if someone could share with me how they were done? Can't seem to find it on here, but I am a newbie member to SCS! Thanks for any help!

I'm no sure what you saw, but did something at a stamp camp I attended years ago with dollar store things. The demo bought clear class pieces of differing sizes - used for floral arrangements. They came then is a netted bag and she tried to find a bag with lots of flat sided onesl

We stamped small images that would fit in whatever piece we found and applied that fast bonding permanent glue (can't remember the name but it came in a 4 inch squeeze tube). The stamped images were cut to the size of the glass pieces, the glue was put on the glass, we waited only a few seconds and placed the stamped/cut image face down onto the glass surface (glue to stamped image). After that dried, we glued a round piece of magnet to that.

Finished product like a teensy paper weight when the side showing is a bit round and the stamped imaged looks magnified.

Hope this helps. I'm not sure if the glue was called shoo glue.

Hopefully, someone can refine this and check my verbage. Good luck!

Lynn

Oh...it Is here on this forum!
Go to the right and clik on techinques/search - and type in anything you looking for and the sort is given to you by the key words you type in. We both joined SCS about the same time, I only discovered it a few weekss ago but didn't even look there first before I replied.

I have made them using diamond glaze to glue it together. It worked great.

Could you use crystal effects? I have actually never made them either.

Check out the link above for the best visual I discovered after posting my reply. You know, I think we were told that we could use CE but none of us had them at the time. According to Martha - super glue is good. I know CE is great for remounting stamps, perhaps it depends on how heavy the pieces (marble and magnet) are. We looked for a clear, quick bonding one.
