You guys are all so great.....you're making me blush! Thanks for all the kind sentiments. It feels good to know I was actually able to contribute something for a change.
I've done this using Carmex and it's so cool! I even had my friend coat her babies foot with Carmex and emboss it that way & she reported that it worked. What a sweet little mememto! Thanks for the reminder & for sharing it with us!

This is so cool! I always learn so much from SCS! After reading this, I ran upstairs to my stamp room and colored a stamp with some lipstick that I have and never use, then stamped & embossed it. It works great! The lipstick goes on the stamp nice and wet & creamy and the embossing powder sticks really well! It's a breeze to clean off too. Now I'm thinking that maybe some clear lipstick or lip gloss might even be a great alternative to Versamark. I have all this lipstick that I get with the gift with purchase bonus from Clinique and don't use because I don't use lipstick. I almost threw it away, but now it is going to have a place in my stamp room. I think I might go to Wal-Mart tonight and get some really bright offbeat colors. Maybe something with sparkle or a metallic? It's like having a whole bunch of cheap, new choices in pigment ink!
Sandy---thank you for sharing this fab idea! I have often thought of what way one could really seal an envelope with this personal msg. Now I know...oh, goodness, that means I have to get red lipstick for my stamping stash???? lol
Thanks, Debi

This link will probably not be read much so my story may not get out but it is hilarious! I didn't have a lip stamp either so I took the Versamark and stamped it all over my lips and kissed the card. Then I embossed the card and it took real well. Only thing is my lips started burning pretty bad so I ran to the bathroom and scrubbed them to get the burning to stop. And to think I almost had my 8 yr old granddaughter try this for the card she is making! All this in the name of creativity!
I am so excited, and I have to share something with you all!!! I suppose somebody will tell me that this has already been discovered a hundred years ago, and I need to get with the times. Still, since I have never seen it anywhere, I am going to put it here just in case. Who knows? Maybe I actually discovered something unique.
I was working on my son's birthday card yesterday, and the card has bugs on it. So I stamped a sentiment inside that said, "Bugs and Kisses". Here is where it gets exciting...... I do NOT have a kiss or lip stamp. I thought about all the times when I kissed my husband with lipstick on and it made a print on his cheek. I knew I could "kiss" the cardstock and get a nice print, but I knew it would smear and wreck his card. So....I put some bright red lipstick on, kissed the card and made a really nice imprint of my smooch, then embossed it with clear embossing powder! It worked perfectly and sealed in the lipstick so it wouldn't smear at all. It was beautiful! Maybe I can post a picture later.
I am so stinkin' excited that I just had to share. How much more personal can it get than to give somebody a real kiss on paper?! Unless you can give them a real kiss, that is!
Hope somebody else will try this....it really did turn out cute!
