Exclamation How to print in a circle, spiral, or any shape you want...

I posted this on the demo side and figured...this isn't a secret! We can ALL do this!
Hope this helps someone...if it does..please show us what you did with it!!!

To Print in a Shapecircle, spiral, etc. is easier than you think.

I made up a Word document to explain.

This would be great on the outsides of circle journals, cd books, square books or cards, etc.
Let us know what you "do" with it!!

clk here:
To Print in a Shape.doc

Enjoy!!!

I've certainly learned something new but still couldn't get it to go in a normal circle. I'll have to work with it some more. Thanks.

you'll have to clk and drag the shape into a circle and if you go under the format tab you can equalize the height and width to be a perfect circle. Keep trying..it's too cute!

These instructions don't work for me. :( After selecting Word Art, I'm shown 30 different types of formatting and have to choose one of those before I can type my text. Circles, squares, triangles, etc. are not options. I have the choice of wavy text, mirrored text, outlined text, and many others.

Pick any of them..i usually pick the third from the left on the top row (looks like an arch). It will then bring up a box...type your words there. THEN once you clk *ok* it will bring up the small word art bar and you can choose *word art shape* from that bar. On there if you use the third from the left, second row down...that is a circle. It will change your words to THAT shape..no matter what shape you started with. It's just a step you missed in there...not sure if the directions were clear on that step or not. Just keep playing w/ it...it's pretty cool once you figure it all out!!!

Nope ... still not working. I can do: Pick any of them..i usually pick the third from the left on the top row (looks like an arch) but then I have to click OK. Only then does a text box appear where I type my text, then click OK. After that, I just see the words on my page. I don't see any Word Art bar.

I'll keep playing with it.

You're doing it right! Don't give up. That is exactly what should happen. After your words show up in a sort of arch there should be a small rectangle shaped tool bar that shows up. From there you would pick the *word art shape* and it will become a circle...that will be very flat and out of shape looking...you have to clk and drag it into a circle. You're almost there!!!

You are so close! Make sure you have the Word Art toolbar turned on, as mine wasn't when I first started (View/Toolbars/Word Art) Mine is brought up near the top of the page (Guess it depends on what other toolbars you have open). The WordArt Shape "button" has a small blue Abc on it. It took me a while to fuss with the directions and find everything in Word, but I figured it out! Stick with it--you'll get it, too!

I can't wait to try this! I make a scrapbook for my class so the parents can see what the kids do all year long. Now I can add new things and not have to write so much in my own handwriting. It'll make it really special! Thanks so much...

Hi Del,
Her is the link to Kaylyn's thread describing how, through the efforts of many, MANY people, the rgb's were determined (just follow her directions on that thread on how to adjust your colors):
Forums at Splitcoaststampers

and a HUGE **THANK YOU** to everyone that help create those colors and Kaylyn for putting it all in one organized area!!!!

OMG!! The instructions in the OP were great and again another post that came at a perfect time too. My daughter has a project due tommorrow and I helped her start it 2 weeks ago. I wanted the title for it printed on a window sheet, but in a spiral and didn't know how to do that then I saw this post andremembered tonight this was on here (found it after some digging. Unfortunatly we don't have a spiral in our shapes, but settled for waves. Either way it was great Thanks!!!!

If anyone knows how to do this on a mac with MS Word for Mac please let me know. I don't have a word art option-there's a shape option, but I can't get text to follow the outline of the shape.
