Default How to center brads and get them in corners?

Ok-

So I went out and bought some brads because I like the look of them, but how to do wonderful stampers get them nice and even in the corners, or in straight lines under an image? Like do you stamp the image, cut the paper, and then work from the back drawing a line and centering it? I am confused and have no clue where/how to start..thanks!

You can use the paper piercing template or mark it on the back with a pencil

I use plastic canvas. I cut it into frequently used sizes - card size, 12" scrapbook border size, etc. Poke holes in the squares where I want the brads or eyelets.

For corner placement I made a template. I punched a square and then pierced a hole and used that as a template, lining it up in the 4 corners as I went.

Now, like HoosierGirl I use Plastic Canvas - that stuff is great for aligning brads and for faux stitching. I used it last night to space crystals correctly on a card too. I love it, I've only recently heard of it and wish I'd got some a lot sooner. Can't believe the fab price too!
