Homemade Primas
I posted this in the SU demo forum, but some of you have been asking that aren't demos. So I am starting a new thread here.
Using the Three for You punch kit, I stamped the flower images, punched them out then placed them in my 1/4" circle punch which is turned upside down on my desk. I gently pushed the larger side of the stylus in the center. Once the flower is pushed inside, I folded teh petals down with my fingers. Put a dab of Crystal Effects and a bead and you have a prima! No more need to hord them! Yeah!
Here are the links to the pictures (I can't figure out how to make a thumbnail)

I hear you on the ever growing wish list....and I haven't even seen the new catty!
But I absolutely LOVE the Three for You Punch box. So many possibilities, let alone endless primas!

Thank you so much, Julie! The 1/4" circle hole punch is the key! I've raked my brain to come up w/ the perfect 'hole' to seat these babies to get them to 'cup'.
May God bless, Stormy

Instead of using the circle punch turned upside down you can use the piercing pad that comes in the tool kit. It's soft and spongy, take your stylus and just press down in the middle of the flower....presto! Much easier than using the circle punch and more stable too.;)
do you think I could make pimas using the Spring Bouquet Flower punch? I have not used pimas. Would I need a larger than 1/4" punch to shape the flowers?

I bet it would work. I don't have that punch. I may have to borrow it to try! The Three for you punch is just the perfect shape and size.

I have found that you can shape the primas with the foam mat from the crafters tool kit along with the paper piercing template. I use one of the larger circles to push the prima through (instead of the 1/4" circle punch). I will try to get a picture in the gallery. I have also found that I am less likely to punch through the prima if I shape the prima when the ink is still damp.

I didn't see your post until now. You are correct about this! TSF!

Gee thanks! I had just talked myself out of the three for you punch box, which I had on my list and then struck from my first order. Now I want it and my order isn't even here yet! Oh well, I am placing another order on the thirteenth anyway!
