How about making memo books and beaded pens for each couple. Then each person that wants to exchange numbers will have something to write on. The easiest would be to cover either mini composition books or the spiral memo books (tear a sheet out so you can line up the holes when you make the covers). I've also seen a project where you can make a hinged folder that contains a memo pad and a pen slides in, but it may take up too much time before your event.
Also, something quick and easy to do and make lots of are sour cream packet favors. They take no time and are cute. I like to leave one end unsealed, I still crimp it, but I punch two holes and tie together with ribbon. That way people don't have to rip it open to get to the contents. They just untie the ribbon and pop it open. You can also make the magnet stones to put in the packet. You can buy those clear stones (for the vase in artificial floral arrangments) from the dollar store. Get the larger stone. Then take a stamp and stamp on your card stock and use a one inch circle punch to punch it out. use Crystal effect to "glue" it to the stone and then buy circle magnets that have adhesive on it and stick it to the back. Instant magnet and cute! if you really wanted to, you can minimize your school icon on your computer and print out on your card stock and punch those out as well.
Hope this gives you some ideas. Good luck!
