Lightbulb Heidi Swapp Iron Use water?

Okay I got this iron last christmas, and normally use it to straighten crinkled ribbon, and for the odd iron on and things, but I have noticed that it doesn't work all that perfect cause there is no steam! Am I totally missing something, and am supposed to add water? I can't imagine I should, but thought perhaps I would ask, seeing as have long since thrown away the packaging and have no directions.
So do you add water into theiron or not?
Duh me!!! lol

Question?

Are you talking about that little bitty pink iron that is around $12? If so, I had it, but did not see a place to put water. IMHO that iron isn't worth a flip. I put mine in a give away bag....and was hesitant to even do that. Maybe I am missing something about that iron.

Could you spritz water onto whatever you are ironing with a spray bottle then iron it?
