I read somewhere about using the Xyron to adhere glitter to your images and now I can't find it. I wanted to thank whoever posted it though. I have had so much fun with it today!
First I put the stamped image down & ran it thru the Xy with adhesive, covered it with ultrafine glitter, and then changed cartridges and laminated it. I wanted to contain the glitter and the effect was very cool. Well, not much sticks to something that's laminated as you might guess, so in a moment of desparation I switched BACK to the adhesive cartridge and ran it through again. VOILA! Then I mounted it on my card in progress. I may have to frame it! I used the butterfly stamp from Garden Collage with the flower colored yo-yo yellow and the butterfly blissblue with chalks & the blender pen. The glitter was non-SU but a very light powder blue. IT IS GORGEOUS but I can't get a good photo yet. Will post it if I do, you can be sure!
I've got to get a Xyron so I can try this out! I've seen lots of ideas with this technique and guess this is the easiest way to cover the entire image in adhesive. I can get a Xyron Free with my great rewards points from SU but it's just 2.5" width. I'm figuring this is too small for a lot of stuff. Any recommendations. I already have a regular laminator, so I won't be looking for that feature.

I have a handy, dandy Xyron 510 and a stash of repostionable cartridges from when WM had them on clearance for $3.xx. I wonder if the glitter trick would work the same with those as it does with permanent adhesive. Oooh...I feel an experiment coming on .
