Hi, I have some pins in my gallery that people have asked me how to do, I have copied the directions below:
Glistening Pins & Embellishments Recipe is originally by Casey Cholaki, Rubber Roadsters
Supplies: Travel-Explore-Discover Film strip stamp by Inkadinkado Sepia Inkpad (Memories) Versamark Inkpad-Clear Clear Embossing Powder 2 pieces of white cardstock 4 x 2 Colored pencils quarter of quilt fabric WonderUnder transfer webbing 4 x 2 Embossing Gun Household Iron (set on cotton, use dry, not steam) Glue Stick Brayer or household rolling pin Tweezers Pin backs Cutting mat for work surface Scissors or X-Acto knife Brown Sharpie permanent marker
Instructions:
Cut 2 pieces of white cardstock, each 4 x 2
Use your glue stick on the back of each one making sure to get the edges of the card stock covered.
Use brayer or rolling pin to glue them together, creates a heavier cardstock, if you do not happen to have a heavy cardstock at hand.
Ink your Travel Stamp well with the sepia inkpad and then stamp your cardstock.
Use colored pencils to color in the designs of the stamp. Let dry. Dont worry if the colors look pale, they will intensify after the embossing powder is used then heated.
Follow the directions on the WonderUnder Transfer Webbing to bond the fabric to the back of your stamped design. Only use the iron on the dry stetting as steam can warp the cardstock.
On your cutting board, carefully cut between the 3 designs on the stamp using an X-Acto or a sharp pair of scissors.
One by one, press each design into your Versamark clear inkpad. Then, cover each piece with clear embossing powder.
Using tweezers on the side of the pieces so you dont burn yourself, heat with the embossing gun until EP melts. The first time you do this on each piece, it will look bumpy. Do each piece two more times, covering with embossing powder, and then heating until it glazes over.
Use the brown sharpie marker to outline the edges of each piece and add a pin back with Jewelry glue such as E6000.
Good Luck! WoodstockStamper

Thank you sooo much!! Your pins are great. I've already thought of at least 20 stamps I want to use for pins. I love the fabric idea to give the pins a nice, finished look.
